Between Silence and Noise.
23.08.2025
Silence, for those who feel and see more, is a refuge. A sanctuary where one can withdraw from the empty-hearted, who feed on the sensitivity of others to sustain their existence.
Some cannot offer warmth, so they steal it. They do not know love, so they seek it in the hearts of those who love most deeply. To them, the emotions of others are resources to be exploited. Human tenderness becomes their prey, something they covet. They thrive at the expense of others, without guilt or remorse.
Closeness with them always leaves wounds. Sensitive souls often emerge from such ties feeling drained, bearing the burden of having given "too much." Doubt creeps in — is sensitivity a gift, or a curse? These bonds consume from within, leaving nothing but the echo of who one once was.
The empty-hearted are skilled at provoking emotions, collecting them like trophies. They spark compassion or admiration, but once they have taken what they need, they vanish. For the sensitive, life becomes relentless noise. Words and gestures cut so deeply that the boundary between truth and pretence dissolves.
In such a world, silence becomes salvation. It is the space where balance is restored and clarity returns. Silence reveals boundaries and teaches us to protect them. It nurtures the decision not to let others feed on what is purest within us.
Silence shows us who truly deserves our feelings, and who only feigns to return them. It is a hard lesson, but one through which silence gathers power. It reminds us that sensitivity is not weakness, but a quiet strength and a gift that must be protected.
Those who live off the light of others are doomed to darkness — a darkness beyond redemption.
