When the World Becomes Uncomfortable.
14.03.2026
The world is changing faster than we realise. The boundaries of what once seemed obvious are shifting. Customs evolve, and so does language. Ways of thinking shift with them. For some, this is simply the natural course of things. For others, it is unsettling.
Not everyone keeps pace with these changes. Many feel secure in a familiar and comprehensible world that gives them stability. When that world no longer looks as it once did, the response is often an attack. Hate appears immediately as resistance to what is new.
This is not merely an impulse. It is a conscious choice, the choice of the easiest response. Instead of acceptance or conversation, there is a shout that demands no effort. Attacking is easier than trying to understand.
Differences in themselves are not a threat. They are a natural part of any society. Tension grows when one vision claims the right to define reality for everyone else. Coexistence gives way to the urge to dominate.
The old order and the new will never think alike. Friction is inevitable and accompanies every change. The point is not unanimity but the ability to share a common space and live alongside one another with respect.
Change will continue whether we accept it or not. What we can control is how we respond to others. Perhaps it is worth keeping space within ourselves for respect, even when the world around us looks different from what we would prefer.
